Providing Eyeliner Permanent Make Up
EYELINER permanent makeuP
Eyeliner tattooing, also known as permanent eyeliner or cosmetic tattooing, is a procedure that involves the application of pigment to the skin along the lash line to create the appearance of defined and long-lasting eyeliner. This technique offers a smudgeproof solution for those looking to enhance the depth, colour, and definition of their eyes without the need for daily makeup application. The process involves using a tattoo device and needles to carefully deposit pigment into the upper or lower lash line, creating a natural and enduring eyeliner effect. This procedure can be especially beneficial for individuals with allergies to conventional makeup, those who have difficulty applying eyeliner due to dexterity issues, or those seeking a more defined eye contour.
It's advisable to seek consultation from a skilled and experienced professional to discuss desired outcomes. Whilst eyeliner tattoo is a great alternative to applying makeup daily, it is still a permanent tattoo and therefore should be applied considerately.
Who can have eyeliner tattooed?
Everyone (medical exceptions apply) can have an eyeliner tattoo. A standard Lash line tattoo is perfect for most people. There are also options to add a flick or add lower liner etc. Lets discuss the options below:
Lash line: Suited to everyone. A simple tattoo set in the lash line of the upper eye to enhance and define the shape. This will make your eyes pop, and add depth to your lashes making them appear thicker and fuller.
Winged eyeliner: Beautiful to add length to the eye, and some lift in the outer corners. Note; winged eyeliner are bespoke to each client, not every client is suited to this style and this will be discussed at consultation.
Lower lash line: A lovely soft lower liner can look perfect to add definition to your eyes, its not advisable to try to recreate the look of traditional makeup on the under eye as it can be less flattering in tattoo form.
Aftercare:
You can apply a cold compress if needed to alleviate swelling and soothe the area. Avoid touching the area with fingers, keep the area clean. Do not apply eye makeup until the area has completely healed.
Tip: as pre care advice i always ensure my clients are not using any growth serums prior to tattooing. More info can be found on the pre and post care page under the tab Aftercare.
Why should permanent makeup not be applied the same as traditional makeup?
The purpose of permanent makeup is to enhance your natural beauty, we must remember that this is a tattoo after all and not just traditional makeup which we can wipe off if we change our mind or style. As an artist I am always mindful of how extreme I will tattoo a makeup look as i want your makeup to last and stand the test of time. Remember you can always apply traditional makeup on top of your permanent makeup if you want little more.

How long will the treatment last?
Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic tattoo. As the name suggests it can be a permanent treatment, the pigments used for your chosen service are implanted lightly into the upper layers of your skin and are designed by the manufactures to fade over time. There are no guarantees given that your permanent makeup will leave the skin completely. Each service will have varied results and longevity from person to person. Environmental factors and lifestyle has an impact on your permanent makeup, so everyone is unique. We recommend a colour boost anywhere between 18 months and 24 months or depending on the fading and personal preference.
Is the procedure painful?
As with any tattoo procedure there will be an element of discomfort, but most clients find this to be minimal.
How long does it take?
Please allow 3 hours for new treatments and please allow 2 hours for a retouch. Varying factors will increase or decrease the length of appointments.
What about my medical history or current conditions?
We are required by our legal team to ask for your medical history to check for any reasons why you may not be suited to permanent makeup. If we have any concerns we simply require a note from your doctor or medical professional to give consent.
What happens after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, the area can appear swollen and the colour will appear darker. The area requires a minimum of 6 weeks of natural healing between appointments, this is to ensure skin health is kept optimum and your permanent makeup heals beautifully. Full aftercare can be found on the website, and will be explained to you during your appointment.
